AVOID DFS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I ordered sofas from DFS on the 27th November 2017, I was told these should be delivered for Christmas, this however didnt happen and I finally got an email telling me that my sofas were ready to be delivered and the date given was the 23rd January, I called the customer services department the day I got the email to find out what time they would arrive on the 23rd to be told they weren't getting delivered that day I would need to call a different number to arrange delivery, by this point I was sat with my family (disabled family household) with no sofas to sit on, I kept calling the number to try and arrange delivery but I couldn't get anyone to answer, I kept trying all different numbers to try and get a date booked to no avail, it was ridiculous trying to get hold of someone, eventually 2 days later I finally get through on the customer services line and I was asked for my number and told someone would call me between 1230-130 no call arrived, again I called back this went on for a further few days and I wasn't getting any call back, at this pointI was extremely frustrated and annoyed that something so simple as delivery couldn't seem to be arranged simply! EVENTUALLY IT WAS SORTED OUT. DAY OF DELIVERY- the van arrives, I had requested that the delivery guys unpack the sofa inside my property so as not to cause any damage to the sofas bringing them in, there was FOUR guys that day on the one van, they started bringing pieces of the recliners in, some were packed, and some guys were unpacking other parts outside my front door, I was watching them put my recliner sofas together and noticed extremely bad stapled workmanship under the sofas, and some parts were ripped when I pointed this out to the guy he just said its ok you wont see it and proceeded to assemble it together, the colour of the sofas were completely wrong I ordered dark brown these were blue grey!! I told them I didnt want to accept them as there was a large black pen mark across the arm of one of the recliners, the bottom had a large scuff and scrape the arms had squashed down not enough filling in it and they looked as if they were used sofas one of the recliners made a band clanking noise and was slow to work and if you sat on it you heard a clank and a crunch and when you tried to get off the sofa the noise and feeling was like a metal springboard popping it was horrendous! the drivers refused to take them back on the truck stating they were finished for the day, the time was 1.20pm they were going home!!! I immediately called DFS explained the situation and told them I wanted a refund immediately and the sofas lifted, not so easy I was told that this was NOT DFS policy or procedure and that I would need to get 2 managers to visit to decide if I could get the sofas refunded , fast forward to Tuesday 13th Feb out comes a manager called Phil and his sidekick young lad, after having to stand and listen to their drivel and salesmanship I cracked I told them get the sofas lifted I am not accepting repair I am not accepting wrong coloured damaged sofas so it was agreed I would be refunded and sofas lifted , fast forward to 14th Feb, called BIRMINGHAM SHOWROOM, asked to talk to Phil was told he was not avail, so spoke to the other Manager ZEE, absolutely awful awful Man, his manner towards me was vile, he was abusive, nasty , told me he would decide if I could pick another sofa or get a refund, it went on and on, I then tells Zee collect the sofas and refund me, eventually he said not a problem, and I was hoping that would be it, fast forward to today 2 guys come to pick up the two damaged recliners, they didnt take any care in dismantling it down one had a device like a crow bar and was stabbing away at the back of them, they shoved the large pieces roughly through my living room door, and I told them twice to be careful but made no difference , NOW HAVING TO FIGHT FOR MY CASH BACK DISGUSTING!
